Seta's Cafe Is Opening in Belmont

A new Mediterranean restaurant is on its way to Belmont, and the person behind it may be familiar to some.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site (and confirmed on Facebook), Seta's Cafe is going to be opening on Belmont Street, moving into the space where Chicken Express had been. Seta Dakessian may be known to folks who go to farmers markets, as she sells her Mediterranean items at such markets as Copley Square and Dewey Square in Boston and Union Square in Somerville. Based on some of the foods she sells at the farmers markets, the new cafe may be offering falafel, Greek salads, spinach pie, hummus, babaganoush, and more.

It appears that Seta's Cafe may be opening later this month.

[September 30 update: According to a post from several days back on its Facebook page, it looks like Seta's Cafe is now looking to open around the second week of October.]

[October 15 update: Eater Boston mentions that Seta's Cafe is now open.]

The address for this new dining spot in Belmont is: Seta's Cafe, 271 Belmont Street, Belmont, MA, 02478.
