A group behind several Boston-area restaurants is opening a new dining spot in Cambridge.
Eater Boston is reporting (via Chowhound) that Bao Nation is going to open in Central Square, with the fast-casual eatery apparently being within Libby's Liquor Market and featuring Asian bun sandwiches and dumplings. The sign posted on Chowhound mentions that the dining spot will present a "unique twist" on Taiwanese gua bao, or pork belly buns, using "flavors and ingredients ranging from various parts of Asia."
One World Cuisine owns c (and the upcoming Bao Nation) as well as Shalimar grocery store and Dosa Factory next door (Dosa Factory is in the back of the market). Other businesses run by the group include Kashmir in Boston's Back Bay, Bukhara in Jamaica Plain, Mela in the South End, and Diva in Somerville's Davis Square.
[June 12 update: According to its Facebook page, it looks like Bao Nation is planning to open around the end of June. (Thanks to Eater Boston for bringing this to our attention.]
[November 17 update: According to a Twitter post from the eatery, Bao Nation is now open, though it is actually located in the space where Dosa Factory is, not within Libby's Liquor Market.]
The address for Bao Nation is 571 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02139. Its website is at http://baonation.com/
