My Other Kitchen Is Opening in Belmont

A brand new Greek and Mediterranean restaurant is coming to a western suburb of Boston--and the owner of the eatery comes from the family behind a now-closed diner that had been around for more than three decades.

The Belmont Citizen-Herald is reporting that My Other Kitchen is opening in Belmont, with the Pleasant Street spot being a self-serve restaurant with "a lot" of Greek dishes. the article says that owner George Manetas used to work for his family at Andros Diner, a popular place that closed a few years ago and is now the site of Sweet Peach Diner. Expect to see comfort food dishes at My Other Kitchen, which will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner six days a week (it will be closed on Sundays).

As of Friday, Manetas still needed an occupancy permit, but it may have opened yesterday if all went well (we are trying to confirm if it did indeed open).
