A poster on the Chowhound site mentions that Liberty Bell in South Boston is apparently closing its doors tomorrow (Saturday, July 26), while a Boston Magazine article from last week indicates that the structure on W Broadway will be leveled, with a 33-unit condominium project that will include parking and a new restaurant planned for the space. (The project was approved earlier this month by the Boston Redevelopment Authority.)
The Liberty Bell first opened in Southie in 1979, offering roast beef, seafood, grill items, and more. Other locations of the eatery can be found in the Greater Boston area, including in Billerica, Melrose, and Stoneham.
The address for this soon-to-close roast beef joint in South Boston is: Liberty Bell, 170 W Broadway, South Boston, MA, 02127.
