Highlights for the Week Ending August 8, 2014

A few more stories and articles centering on the Boston-area restaurant scene came out over the past week, including two bars possibly closing to make way for apartments, a well-known Somerville cupcake shop shutting down, and an iconic South End restaurant reopening. In addition, our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) included a new review of a restaurant and ice cream shop in Newton, a slideshow on pizza, and a photo of a waffle from a college favorite in Somerville.
