Petit Robert Central in Boston's Downtown Crossing Has Become Central Bistro

A French restaurant in the heart of downtown Boston has changed its name--and it looks like it may no longer be connected to a group of French dining spots in and around the city.

According to a Twitter post sent earlier today, Petit Robert Central in Downtown Crossing is now called Central Bistro and it has been taken off the site that includes locations of Petit Robert Bistro in the South End of Boston, Kenmore Square (which is going to be replaced by a new dining spot called Josephine), and Needham. The poster says the menu appears to be the same as that of Petit Robert Central, and a check on the Central Bistro website indicates that it indeed looks like that of the former restaurant; in addition, the "Our Story" section of the website no longer shows Petit Robert Bistro owner Jacky Robert, so at least a partial ownership change seems to have taken place.

Petit Robert Central first opened in September of 2010.

The address for Central Bistro (and the former Petit Robert Central) is 101 Arch Street, Boston, MA, 02110. Its website can be found at http://www.centralbistroboston.com/
