SlowBones Modern BBQ in Burlington Has Closed

It appears that a barbecue spot north of Boston has shut its doors after being in business for a bit more than a year.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, SlowBones Modern BBQ in Burlington "looked closed for good" yesterday, with a check on its Facebook page showing a post that says "Starting on February 1st SlowBones will be closed for Winter vacation." Another post on its website, however, indicates that the Mall Road eatery is permanently closed, with the closure note thanking customers for their support over the past 14 months.

SlowBones in Burlington was started by Boston Market co-founder Steven "Kip" Kolow, who had been looking to go national with the BBQ spot; it is not known if those plans are still in place at this point. (The closure note on the website does say to "Please check back for any upcoming announcements or information," though no additional information has been posted.)

The address for this now-closed barbecue spot in Burlington was: SlowBones Modern BBQ, 80 Mall Road, Burlington, MA, 01803. Its website can be found at http://slowbonesbbq.com/
