Eater Boston is reporting (via the brewery's blog) that Trillium Brewing Company in Fort Point is planning to open a larger brewery in Canton (near the upcoming University Station complex), with the new facility also having a retail store and possibly a taproom if the town gives its approval. The blog post from Trillium says that they will remain in their original Congress Street location, operating "more like a pilot brewery" within that space, with kegs and bottles being brought up from the new facility. Between the two breweries, expect to see about 10,000 barrels of beer produced annually, according to the blog.
If all goes as planned, it looks like the new Trillium facility in Canton could be open by later this year.
[December 14 update: BostInno mentions that Trillium opened its new facility in Canton today.]
Trillium first opened its doors in Boston in the spring of 2013. Its address is 369 Congress Street, Boston, MA, 02210, and its website can be found at http://www.trilliumbrewing.com/
