Lord Hobo Brew Pub Planning to Open at 2 Canal Park in Cambridge

It looks like a Cambridge beer bar may be opening a new location nearby, with this one being in a large building near the Charles River.

According to a License Commission General Hearing page within the City of Cambridge website, Daniel Lanigan of Lord Hobo on Hampshire Street is seeking a Common Victualer License for a new spot called Lord Hobo Brew Pub, which would be at 2 Canal Park by the corner of Cambridge Street and First Street (just north of the CambridgeSide Galleria). The notice says that the proposed place would have a capacity of 160 and would be open from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM seven days a week. One odd part of the hearing notice is that it says Lord Hobo Brew Pub would serve food and non-alcoholic beverages; it is presumed that alcoholic beverages will also be served, so this may be a mistake, or it is possible that the liquor license could be requested at a later date.

Lanigan, who opened the original Lord Hobo on Hampshire Street in November of 2009, is also opening a massive new brewery in Woburn; according to a Facebook note, it looks like the brewery will open sometime in June.

The website for Lord Hobo can be found at http://www.lordhobo.com/
