Plans Fall Through for a Cat Cafe to Come to Boston

It appears that plans for a cat cafe to come to Boston have fallen apart...again.

Last fall, we reported that Brown graduate student Amanda Davis started a fundraising campaign to open Le Chat Noir, which would possibly be coming to a location in South Boston. But it appears that those plans have followed the same path as another proposal for a cat cafe two years ago that ultimately fell through, as Eater Boston now mentions that Davis was only able to raise a small amount of her targeted amount and never heard back from the city of Boston about her plans. She is now offering refunds to those who donated, with another option being for her to donate the money to a cat-related charity.

Le Chat Noir had hoped to be a cafe that would feature a coffee bar out front with baked goods, tea, and lattes, while a separate room would be home to 10 cats.
