Lady Siam in Arlington Closes, Being Replaced by Thana Thai Kitchen

[Ed note: This article was updated on July 23 to reflect the fact that a new restaurant is moving into the space.]

An Arlington restaurant that featured both Thai and Vietnamese food has closed its doors.

According to a Twitter post sent today, the interior of Lady Siam on Mass. Ave. has been "gutted" for a few weeks now, though the signs are still up. A call placed to the dining spot indicates that their phone is out of service, while Google is posting in its search results that it is "permanently closed" and a poster on Yelp says it is shuttered as well.

Lady Siam first opened approximately seven years ago across from Arlington High School, offering such items as chicken satay, curry puffs, fisherman's soup, beef macadamia, BBQ fish, grilled meat vermicelli, mango fried rice, and drunken noodles.

The address for this now-closed Thai and Vietnamese dining spot in Arlington was: Lady Siam, 882 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA, 02476.

[July 23 update: According to several sources, including a poster on the Chowhound site, Lady Siam will be replaced by Thana Thai Kitchen.]

[August 17 update: A check on the place over the weekend indicates that Thana Thai Kitchen is now open.]
