Japonaise Bakery and Cafe in Cambridge Has Closed

It looks like an Asian bakery in Cambridge has closed its doors for good, a few months after it temporarily shut down.

Eater Boston is reporting (via the Japanese-American in Boston blog) that Japonaise Bakery & Cafe in the city's Porter Square area is no longer in business, with a photo of the spot showing that the space is cleaned out. Back in March, the shop temporarily closed and a phone call placed to its location in Brookline indicated that it would be reopening, but now it appears that this will not be happening after all. (The Beacon Street location of Japonaise Bakery & Cafe remains in operation.)

Japonaise Bakery & Cafe was one of several Asian dining spots located in the Porter Exchange, with other eateries including Sapporo Ramen, Ittyo, Cafe Mami, and others.

The address for this now-closed bakery in Porter Square was 1815 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02312.
