Cinderella's in Cambridge's Central Square Getting a Major Makeover

A casual Italian restaurant in Cambridge that has been serving up pizza, pasta, and calzones for approximately two decades is in the process of a major makeover.

Eater Boston is reporting that Cinderella's in the Central Square section of the city is currently closed (except for deliveries), with the restaurant being reconcepted into a neighborhood restaurant and bar with "rustic-meets-industrial ambiance," a menu that will combine new items with existing options, 20 beers on tap, and at least one cocktail on tap as well. The reconcepting of Cinderella's seems to confirm earlier chatter that was based on job posts mentioning a revamping of a Central Square dining spot that was unnamed at the time, though EB did hint at changes coming to the dining spot last month. If all goes as planned, the rebirth of Cinderella's could officially take place in the middle of September.

[September 16 update: According to a post from UrbanDaddy, the revamped Cinderella's opens its doors on Monday (September 21).]

Cinderella's first opened its doors back in the mid-1990s.

The address for Cinderella's is 901 Main Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139.
