According to a planning board page within the City of Cambridge website, Tahaza Hummus Kitchen is planning to open at One Canal Park, which is along First Street between Two Canal Park (at the corner of Cambridge Street and First Street) and the CambridgeSide Galleria. A job post within the Craiglist site mentions that the eatery will be a "bold, new, fast casual Mediterranean concept" that focuses on "healthy food via counter service (build your bowl), with a modern, local feel and vibe. Ingredients will be healthy, fresh and local; materials will be natural and sustainable." The Craigslist post also says that this will be its first shop, so it is possible that more locations of Tahaza could be on the way.
[September 14 update: According to a press release, Tahaza Hummus Kitchen is now open, with the place offering three types of hummus (original, summer pea, and roasted red pepper) that are used as a base for hummus bowls with options being slow-cooked beef or lamb, shredded chicken, baked falafel, and more. The eatery has seating for 30 and will also have an outdoor patio with additional seating for 30 in the spring of 2016, with its hours being 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday.]
In May, we reported that Lord Hobo on Hampshire Street was planning to open a new spot called Lord Hobo Brew Pub which would be located next door at Two Canal Park, though little news has come out about it lately. Currently, neither building has any dining spots within them.
