A License Commission General Hearing page within the City of Cambridge website indicates that a spot tentatively called Dunster Restaurant plans to open in the space where Kennedy's on the Square had been before closing in March, and before that, First Printer and Herrell’s Ice Cream. The name of the manager listed--Peter Lee--implies that this could be another dining spot from The Grafton Group, which also runs Park, Grafton Street, Russell House Tavern, and Temple Bar, all of which are in Cambridge, as well as the upcoming State Street Provisions on the Boston waterfront. [Ed note--now open.]
The seating capacity for the new restaurant would be 90, with proposed hours being 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday and 8:00 AM to 2:00 AM Thursday through Saturday.
The address for the space that the new dining spot wants to move into is 15 Dunster Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138.
[September 25 update: Eater Boston confirms that The Grafton Group is indeed behind the proposed restaurant, though "Dunster Restaurant" appears to be a working name only. EB also says that the place will be an oyster bar.]
