Parsnip Is Opening in Cambridge's Harvard Square on November 3

Nearly two years ago, we reported that a new dining spot was moving into the space in Cambridge's Harvard Square where a landmark restaurant had been. Now it looks like the upcoming eatery is finally getting ready to open.

Eater Boston is reporting that Parsnip is opening on November 3 in the former UpStairs on the Square space on Winthrop Street, with the new restaurant being a "globally-inspired" and "ingredients-led" spot. According to EB, the downstairs section of Parsnip will be the main dining area, with the upstairs being a more casual lounge, and the lounge area will be what executive chef Peter Quinion says is "a little bit more British and eclectic in some cases."

UpStairs on the Square closed its doors at the end of 2013 after more than 30 years in business; it had originally been located on Holyoke Street where it was called UpStairs at the Pudding.

The address for Parsnip is 91 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138.
