Kendall Square Dining/Drinking Spots Planning to Open After Fire

It looks like most, if not all of the dining and drinking spots damaged in a Cambridge fire several months ago will soon be reopening.

A Twitter post from Belly Wine Bar in Kendall Square indicates that both it and the Blue Room are planning to open back up again in the early spring, while a Facebook note from Beantowne Coffee House states that it is hoping to open in March and a Facebook post from Flat Top Johnny's simply says it will be opening soon. All of these restaurants and bars were hit by a two-alarm fire in August of 2015, forcing them to close and rebuild.

Belly Wine Bar, the Blue Room, Beantowne Coffee House, and Flat Top Johnny's are all located in Building 200 at One Kendall Square.

[May 20 update: While Flat Top Johnny's has reopened (see article), Belly Wine Bar, the Blue Room, and Beantowne Coffee House remain closed, though the Blue Room posted on Instagram this morning that it a building permit has been approved so expect construction on the place to happen soon.]

[July 6 update: A job post within the bostonchefs.com site indicates that both the Blue Room and Belly Wine Bar plan to reopen later this summer.]

[August 9 update: Eater Boston states that Beantown Coffee reopens as early as the end of this week in Kendall Square--and it also plans to open a new shop in Boston's Chinatown sometime this fall.]
