According to its website and Facebook page, Johnny D's in Somerville's Davis Square is having an open house for its final weekend in operation, with free shows tonight (Friday, March 11) featuring James Montgomery and Barry Goudreau, a final jazz brunch tomorrow morning featuring guitarist Tom Pendergast, and shows tomorrow afternoon and evening featuringYani Batteau and The Styles, Chandler Travis Philharmonic, and Neon Grandma. On Sunday (which is its last day), Johnny D's will start out with a cash bar offering mimosas and bloody marys, which will be followed by a New Orleans-style "Second Line Brass Parade" starting with two short sets at the club from the brass bands Revolutionary Snake Ensemble and Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society, followed by a procession out the door--which will then be locked--heading into Davis Square and ending with a gathering in Statue Park.
