Upper Crust Pizzeria Is Opening New Shop in Burlington April 11

A local group of pizzerias that has had a troubled past is in expansion mode once again, as it is getting ready to open a new location in the northern suburbs of Boston.

According to a post from Burlington Cable Access Television, Upper Crust Pizzeria is looking to open in Burlington on April 11, confirming what an earlier article from the Daily Times Chronicle had said about the place planning to come to town. Both articles say that the new shop will open on Mall Road, taking over the space where the Montreal-based Yeh! Yogourt Glace and Cafe had been. This will be the second new Upper Crust to open over the past few months, as another outlet took over the former Stone Hearth Pizza space in Cambridge this winter.

A number of Upper Crust shops abruptly closed in late 2012 after the chain went bankrupt while dealing with charges of labor law violations and misuse of company funds. Several stores were auctioned off, though some ended up reopening, and currently, locations can be found in Boston's Beacon Hill, the South End, Brookline, Cambridge, Lexington, Wellesley, Arlington, VA, Washington, DC, and Beverly Hills, CA.

The address for the new Upper Crust Pizzeria in Burlington is 68-82 Burlington Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01803. The website for the chain can be found at http://www.theuppercrustpizzeria.com/
