Brothers Restaurant and Deli to Return to Peabody

It looks like a beloved North Shore eatery is returning nearly two decades after it closed down.

The Salem News is reporting that Brothers Restaurant & Deli is planning to reopen in downtown Peabody, taking over the space where it had been from 1987 to 1999. The article says that when it reopens, the dining spot will be nearly the same as it had been in its previous incarnation, with the menu including Greek fare along with American and Italian options.

Ted Kougianos and Kary Andrinopoulos, who ran the original Brothers, opened New Brothers Deli in the downtown section of Danvers after they closed the Peabody location; the reborn eatery in Peabody will be run by the Kougianos family, with Ted's son George being the principal owner, while Andrinopoulos will not be involved, according to the post.

If all goes as planned, Brothers could be returning to Peabody Square in two months.

The address for this upcoming dining spot in Peabody is: Brothers Restaurant & Deli, 11 Main Street, Peabody, MA, 01960.
