According to an article in The Weymouth News, the Sarras family--who owned both Ultimate Pizza and The Landing Pub in Weymouth Landing--looks to start construction on a new dining spot in the Commercial Street space after getting approval for a seating and ramp easement from The Braintree Town Council last week. The post says that once the community's building department gives its ok, work can begin on the spot, which will have seating for 95 people and an outdoor dining area.
In March of 2015, both Ultimate Pizza and The Landing Pub were hit by a fire, with the structure subsequently being torn down. Before the blaze occurred, the Sarras family had mentioned that it actually had plans to take the building down and open a restaurant in the space.
Ultimate Pizza had been at 6 Commercial Street on the Braintree side of Weymouth Landing while The Landing Pub had been at 2 Commercial Street.
