Universal Hub is reporting that Norvia Pena is planning to reopen Norvia's Place on Washington Street this fall (possibly in September), with the business focusing more on food than drinks and upping the seating from 15 to 45. The post says that Pena and her landlord have been making renovations to the space (which has been the site of a bar since the 1930s), with her attorney telling the Boston Licensing Board that the foundation of the building "basically started to crumble" when Pena was doing had been doing renovations to the kitchen last year.
The board is expected to decide whether to allow Norvia's Place to keep her liquor license until its expected opening in the fall.
The address for Norvia's Place is 2805 Washington Street, Roxbury, MA, 02119.
