The Local Is Expanding to Woburn, Moving into Former Masa Space

A trio of Boston-area gastropubs will be opening a fourth spot, and this one will be moving into a space north of Boston where a tapas and tequila bar had been.

According a job post within the bostonchefs.com site, The Local is planning to open in Woburn, taking over the space where Masa Taqueria and Tequila Bar was until closing this spring. Based on the locations of The Local in West Newton, Wayland, and Wellesley, expect to see small plates, New American fare, and comfort food at the new spot (with the focus being on the use of locally-sourced ingredients), along with beer, wine, and cocktails.

It is not yet known exactly when the Woburn location of The Local might open, though it may be soon, as the place is now hiring for both front of house and back of house positions.

The address for this upcoming restaurant in Woburn is: The Local, 350 Cambridge Road, Woburn, MA, 01801. The website for its existing locations can be found at http://www.liveeatlocal.com/
