According to a Twitter post by @dbelson, Al's Cafe & Catering is apparently coming to Technology Square in the MIT/Kendall Square section of the city, with the sign in the picture saying that it will be "coming soon." (@dbelson tells us that it is taking over the former Quiznos space.) Earlier this year, a location of Al's closed at the Smith Campus Center (formerly the Holyoke Center) in Harvard Square, along with several other businesses that had to leave because of extensive renovations being made to the building.
Currently, locations of Al's Cafe can be found on State Street in Boston's Financial District, South Street in the Leather District, and TradeCenter in Woburn. The website for Al's can be found at http://www.alscafes.com/
The address for the upcoming location of Al's Cafe in Cambridge is 600 Technology Square, Cambridge, MA, 02139.
[February 24, 2017 update: Al's Cafe could be one step closer to opening at Cambridge's Technology Square by next week, as a license commission hearing agenda page mentions that its request for a common victualler license will be looked at next week.]
[March 16, 2017 update: A tweet posted yesterday indicates that the new Al's Cafe is now open at Technology Square while the restaurant's website shows that this is a soft opening (the grand opening will take place on April 3).]
