The Bancroft, Tony's C's to Open at the Northshore Mall in Peabody

It looks like an upscale steakhouse and a group of sports bars will both be expanding to a mall north of Boston.

According to a press release sent today as well as an article in the Patch, The Bancroft and Tony C's are planning to open at the Northshore Mall, with at least one of them apparently moving into the space where a soon-to-close location of P.F. Chang's resides. The post says that construction on the two restaurants will begin this month (P.F. Chang's is closing on April 11) and that both are expected to open in the spring of 2018.

The original location of The Bancroft is at Burlington's 3rd Ave development, while locations of Tony C's can be found in Boston's Seaport District, the Fenway, Somerville's Assembly Row, and Burlington's 3rd Ave. (The Webber Restaurant Group, which is behind The Bancroft, also operates the Gibbet Hill Grill in Groton and the Scarlet Oak Tavern in Hingham.)

Thanks to a poster on the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page for initially bringing this to our attention.
