Mamadou's Artisan Bakery in Winchester Is Opening in Arlington

A suburban bakery that features a variety of breads is looking to open a second location.

According to a post from Your Arlington, Mamadou's Artisan Bakery in Winchester is planning to expand to Arlington, opening in the old Tula space by the corner of Mass. Ave. and Water Street. The post says that the products sold at the new shop would be baked in the original store on Swanton Street.

Mamadou's Artisan Bakery, which is owned by Senegal native Mamadou Mbaye, offers such breads as sourdough, ciabatta, French baguette, cranberry pecan, whole wheat, Italian, and more.

[June 1 update: According to a post in the Arlington Advocate, Mamadou's Artisan Bakery has been given approval to open on Mass. Ave.]

[December 29 update: A new post in the Arlington Advocate states that Mamadou's Artisan Bakery is now open in Arlington and that it offers loaves of bread as well as pastries such as croissants and brioche.]
