Seven years ago, we reported that a Cambridge restaurant was looking to open a new location on "restaurant row" in Waltham. The dining spot is still not open, but it now appears that the place may finally be getting ready to debut.
According to an article in The Waltham News Tribune, the space on Moody Street where Dosa Factory was supposed to have opened back in 2010 remains vacant, but the post mentions that Dashti Tesai--an office assistant at parent company One World Cuisine--says that the eatery could be opening in one to two months and that they are waiting on a few more things before the restaurant is able to open. The article states that One World Cuisine has paid the rent on the space each month and that the city of Waltham has issued various permits on the property, the last of which was issued this April--though the restaurant owners have have not petitioned for any licenses to operate as of yet.
The original location of Dosa Factory is on Mass. Ave. in Cambridge's Central Square while a second outlet can be found Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay.
The address for Dosa Factory in Waltham will be 434 Moody Street, Waltham, MA, 02453.
