Golden Garden in Belmont Has Closed

A few months ago, we reported that a suburban Chinese restaurant was planning to shut down due to its lease expiring, only to later announce that a lease ended up being signed for the space after all. Now we have learned that the dining spot is no longer in business.

According to a source, Golden Garden in Belmont has closed, with a phone call placed to its other location in Malden confirming this. It is not know why the Concord Avenue eatery shut down, nor is it known what may have happened with the signing of the lease, but the restaurant is indeed gone.

Golden Garden, which first opened in Belmont in 2010, has been featured on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site as a place to go for northeastern Chinese fare, with the review being found at the link below:

The address for the now-closed Golden Garden in Belmont was 63 Concord Avenue, Belmont, MA, 02478. The address for their existing location in Malden is 9 Highland Avenue, Malden, MA, 02148.
