[Ed note: This article was updated on May 9, 2018 to reflect a new name given for the place.]

The people behind a beloved Boston breakfast place and sandwich shop are opening a new spot within a new development in Somerville, and it will offer two of the region's most beloved food items.

According to an article in Boston Magazine, Mike Gurevich and Ania Zaroda of Mike & Patty's in Boston's Bay Village are planning to open what is tentatively called North South within Bow Market in the Union Square section of Somerville, with the food stall offering both roast beef sandwiches (a North Shore staple) and bar pizza (a South Shore staple). If all goes as planned, the new eatery could be opening in early 2018, which is when Bow Market is expected to debut.

Bow Market, which is located between Somerville Avenue and Bow Street, will have more than 30 stalls as well as a brewery called Remnant Brewing and a comedy club.

[May 9, 2018 update: A new article from Boston Magazine mentions that North South is now going to be called Hot Box and that it could be opening this month when Bow Market debuts.]

[September 10, 2018 update: Eater Boston states that Hot Box is now open, though the place mentions that this is only a soft opening for now, with limited hours.]

[September 17, 2018 update: Boston Magazine says that Hot Box has its grand opening on Thursday, September 27.]
