Honeygrow to Bring Minigrow Concept to Boston

As reported earlier, a Philadelphia-based group of dining spots specializing in stir-fry dishes has expanded to Boston, and now it will be bringing a new concept to the local area as well.

According to an article in philly.com, the Honeygrow chain is introducing Minigrow this month, with one location of the place coming to Boston along with others in Manhattan and Chicago. The post says that Minigrow will feature a more streamlined menu than Honeygrow while also having an assembly-line system of preparing meals for customers, and the restaurants will use a combi oven (which is a variant of a convection oven), allowing the new concept to open in locations that don't require hoods and outside ventilation systems. (Because of the lack of an extensive ventilation system, the noodle-based dishes offered at Minigrow will not be stir-fried as they are at Honeygrow.)

Currently, one location of Honeygrow can be found in the local area--on Boylston Street in the Fenway--while a second location plans to open in the Seaport District later this month.

The website for Minigrow is at http://minigrow.com/
