Emerald Lounge in the Revere Hotel Is Closing

by Marc Hurwitz

It looks like a hotel bar and nightclub near Boston Common is closing for good.

According to both a tweet from @OnlyInBOS and an events page, the Emerald Lounge in the Revere Hotel on Stuart Street is shutting down on Saturday, December 2, with the events page showing that it will have a "Last Call" party that night that starts at 10:00 PM. No reason has been given yet for the bar's closure, so keep checking back for updates.

The Emerald Lounge, which first opened in June of 2012, is a chic and trendy spot with small plates, cocktails, DJs, and dancing. It debuted a couple of months after the opening of the hotel.

The address for the Emerald Lounge (and the Revere Hotel) is 200 Stuart Street, Boston, MA, 02116. The bar's website can be found at http://emeraldnightlife.com/

[November 17 update: Eater Boston states that a new restaurant will be moving into the Emerald Lounge space in the spring of 2018, with a statement sent to EB saying that it will be "an iconic destination inspired by the city of Boston's rich history and innovative spirit."]
