Diva Indian Bistro in Somerville's Davis Square Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

A longtime Somerville restaurant has very quietly closed.

According to a Twitter post from @jessekb, Diva Indian Bistro in Davis Square is shuttered, with the Elm Street dining spot having a note out front thanking customers and the community while stating that the group behind it (One World Cuisine) is moving on to new ventures. Diva first opened approximately 20 years ago, with the eatery offering authentic Indian fare in a stylish but casual environment.

Other spots run by One World, including Bukhara in Jamaica Plain, Mela in Boston's South End, Dosa Factory in the Back Bay and Cambridge's Central Square, and Bao Nation in Central Square remain in operation.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in Davis Square is: Diva Indian Bistro, 246 Elm Street, Somerville, MA, 02144. The website for One World Cuisine can be found at http://www.oneworldcuisine.com/
