A bar that gets its inspiration from a classic comedy film has opened in downtown Boston, and the people behind it also run another bar inspired by a movie.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Delta Haus is now open underneath Fin McCool's on High Street, with the place being operated by the team that runs the adjacent Bushwood Cocktail Club. As mentioned earlier, Bushwood's name is a play on a country club shown in Caddyshack, and Delta Haus's name comes from Animal House while its website says that Old School and Revenge Of The Nerds are two other college-based films that are influences on the place. The menu at Delta Haus includes a "Bleu-Tarsky burger" and "pledge pretzels" and drinks named "Fawn Liebowitz" and "Mrs. Dean Wormer," and bar games such as air hockey, pool, and darts are set up within the place.
Eater says that events such as toga parties and Greek Olympics may start taking place at some point in the future at Delta Haus.
The address for this new bar in downtown Boston is: Delta Haus, 200 Broad Street, Boston, MA, 02110. Its website can be found at https://www.deltahausboston.com
