A new restaurant and bar is coming to a space in Jamaica Plain that has been home to couple of other dining and drinking spots over the past several years, and a familiar name is behind the place.
The Jamaica Plain News is reporting that Bar Orange is planning to open in the Forest Hills section of JP (across from the T station), with the Washington Street spot moving into the space where a second location of Grass Fed had been, and before that, Tonic. The post says that the place will more of a restaurant than a bar, with dishes featuring locally-sourced ingredients, and local beers will be offered. Bob O'Guin of Common Ground in Allston and Arlington is behind Bar Orange, according to the article.
If all goes as planned, Bar Orange could be opening in April.
The address for this upcoming restaurant and bar in Forest Hills is: Bar Orange, 3698 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain, MA, 02130. Its Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/Bar-Orange-Jamaica-Plain-261848994341661
