Faces Brewpub to Open in Malden

by Marc Hurwitz

It looks like a brand new brewpub with a very familiar name is on its way to Malden.

According to a source within the city, Faces is planning to open on Pleasant Street in the downtown area of the city, with this news being confirmed by Boston Magazine--and an article from Eater Boston also confirms something else that our source tells us, that the Martignetti family, which had once been the owners of Faces nightclub and Lanes and Games bowling on Route 2 in Cambridge, is behind the new brewpub as well. Our source says that the new spot will be a high-end brewpub that will brew Malden's first true original beer. (Idle Hands started out in Everett while Mystic Brewery--which is expanding to Malden later this year--is currently located in Chelsea.)

It is not known exactly when Faces brewpub might open (the space is currently under construction), so keep checking back for updates as they come in.

The address for the upcoming Faces brewpub is 50 Pleasant Street, Malden, MA, 02148. Its Instagram page can be found at https://www.instagram.com/facesbrewingco/
