A couple of rather unusual spaces are in the works for an upcoming development in the Fenway section of Boston, and they could ultimately be filled by restaurants or retail shops.
According to Samuels & Associates, two industrial-style glass jewel boxes, or "pods," are being planned for the 401 Park Drive Development, which will also be home to a food hall called Time Out Market that will spill into an open park area. The pods will be different sizes, with one being 1,500 square feet and the other being 800 square feet, and both will have a height of 13 feet with sliding glass walls, while the larger pod will also have both indoor and outdoor seating. The website for the two pods mentions that they will apparently be in place by the spring of 2019.
The 401 Park Drive development is a revamping of the Landmark Center, which is located where Park Drive and Brookline Street meet.
