Tiki Palace in Braintree to Be Replaced by Lychee Bistro and Lounge

A longtime spot south of Boston for Chinese food and drinks is shutting down, as it is being replaced by a brand new restaurant.

The Braintree Forum is reporting that Tiki Palace in Braintree is closing and is transferring its licenses to an Asian fusion eatery called Lychee Bistro and Lounge. The article says that the new spot will include a new lounge area and overall renovations to the space (with the seating capacity dropping from 140 to 124), while the menu will offer both Asian fusion and traditional fare.

No closing date has been given as of yet for Tiki Palace--which has been in business for approximately two decades--nor has an approximate opening date been given for Lychee Bistro and Lounge, so stay tuned for updates.

The address for Tiki Palace (and the upcoming Lychee Bistro and Lounge) is 1177 Washington Street, Braintree, MA, 02184.

[June 14 update: According to a source, Tiki Palace is now closed.]

[June 11, 2021 update: After more than three years in the works, Lychee Bistro and Lounge is finally getting ready to open, as a message from the place says it plans to debut sometime this summer.]
