A decades-old spot for pastries, baked goods, and more will soon be closing its doors.
According to an article from Universal Hub, Diane's Bakery in Roslindale shuts down for good on June 8, with owner Bob Anderson indicating that it is time for a change after many years of waking up early to make food items each day. The closing of the Poplar Street shop, which first opened 50 years ago, means that only one bakery will remain in Roslindale Square--Fornax, which is located on Corinth Street.
UH says that Anderson's father ran Diane's Bakery until he passed away in 2016.
The address for this soon-to-close bakery in Roslindale is: Diane's Bakery, 9 Poplar Street, Roslindale, MA, 02131.
[June 7 update: A Facebook post from the place indicates that Diane's Bakery will actually be closing down today.]
