Love at First Bite Is Replacing Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine in Lexington

by Marc Hurwitz

A suburban Thai restaurant that has been around for a long time is now closed, and it will be replaced by another Thai spot with an interesting name.

According to a post from The Lexington Minuteman, Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine in Lexington is no longer in operation, with the Mass. Ave. storefront being renovated and its new owners planning to open Love at First Bite in the space. The article mentions that the new dining spot will "blend Thai flavors and American sensibilities," according to one of the co-owners, with the eatery opening in August if all goes as planned.

Lemon Grass had been open since at least the early 1990s, while the space had once been home to a location of Pewter Pot as well.

The address for the now-closed Lemon Grass (and upcoming Love at First Bite) is 1710 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA, 02420. The website for Love at First Bite will be at https://loveatfirstbitema.com/

[July 11 update: A new article from The Lexington Minuteman indicates that Love at First Bite is one step closer to opening, as the Lexington Board of Selectmen has approved of a transfer of a liquor license from Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine. (The post also mentions that the new spot will open after "extensive" renovations are made, though it is not known if it might still open next month as previously mentioned.)]

[January 6, 2019 update: According to a source, Love at First Bite is planning to open on Friday, January 11, with a check on the restaurant's website confirming this.]
