It looks like a California-based vegan restaurant chain is opening its first location on the East Coast, and it will be located right in the heart of Cambridge.
According to a poster on the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Veggie Grill is planning to open this fall in Harvard Square, moving into a space within the Crimson Galeria on JFK Street. Once it opens, expect such items as a taco salad, avocado toast, black bean soup, veggie burgers, a masala bowl, Korean tacos, crispy cauliflower, nachos, and roasted yams.
Veggie Grill debuted in Irvine, CA, in 2006 and is now headquartered in Santa Monica; the chain currently has approximately 30 locations, mostly on the west coast.
The address for this upcoming dining spot in Harvard Square is: Veggie Grill, 57 JFK Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138. The website for the chain can be found at https://www.veggiegrill.com/
