A waterfront restaurant that opened earlier this year is closed for the time being, and it is not known what the future holds for the space.
Eater Boston confirms what a source told us a couple of weeks ago, that 75 on Courthouse Square in Boston's Seaport District is shuttered. We sent a message to the place at the time, checking to see its exact status but we never heard back, and while its website and Facebook page have been taken down, Mike Hughes, who is the general manager of the place, tells Eater that it is "closed for renovations at the moment....We do not have a timeline as to when we will re-open" and that it would remain closed "until further notice."
75 on Courthouse Square first opened in January, joining other restaurants from the Hampshire House group, including the nearby 75 on Liberty Wharf as well as 75 Chestnut and Cheers, both of which are in Beacon Hill, and another location of Cheers at Faneuil Hall.
The address for 75 on Courthouse Square is 60 Seaport Boulevard, Boston, MA, 02210.
[August 28 update: An update from Eater Boston indicates that 75 on Courthouse Square will apparently not be reopening, as a PR rep for the place tells Eater that it is permanently closed.]
