A chain of bagel spots that is headquartered in Vermont has closed another one of its Boston-area locations.
According to a post within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Bruegger's Bagels in Cambridge's Porter Square is no longer in operation, with phone calls placed to the Mass. Ave. location going unanswered while a check on the website for the company shows that the shop has been removed from the locations page. This is the second location to shut down in the local area of late, as its store in Boston's Kenmore Square closed last month.
Bruegger's Bagels, whose headquarters are in Burlington, VT, operates a number of other locations in the Boston area, including two in downtown Boston, one in the Longwood section of the city, and other shops in Brookline and a handful of suburbs in the region.
The address for this now-closed bagel shop in Porter Square was: Bruegger's Bagels, 1876 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02140. The website for the chain can be found at https://www.brueggers.com/
