It looks like a new restaurant is coming to Malden, and it will be replacing a Chinese BBQ spot that recently closed.
According to a source, Emone Tofu is planning to open in the former Wow Barbecue space on Salem Street, with a licensing board page within the city's website seeming to confirm this. Very little is known about the new eatery, though based on the name, it appears that it will be a Korean restaurant; as soon as we find out more about the place, we will post an update here.
Wow Barbecue closed its Malden location in September, though its other outlets in Brookline Village and Providence remain in operation.
The address for this new restaurant in Malden is: Emone Tofu, 184 Salem Street, Malden, MA, 02148.
[December 31 update: According to a poster on the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Emone Tofu is now open and is indeed a Korean spot with such items as soft tofu stew, bibimbap, and more. (The Facebook page for the restaurant also confirms that it is open.)]
