A Boston eatery that specializes in huge lobster rolls will be expanding to the North Shore.
According to a poster on The Arlington List Facebook group page, Lobstah on a Roll is planning to open in Salem, joining its original location on Columbus Avenue in the South End. No address has been given as of yet, and a Facebook post from the place only mentions when it may open--with the post stating both a March and an April opening date; as soon as we find out more about the place, we will post an update here.
Lobstah on a Roll opened in the old Emma's space in the South End in the fall of 2017, featuring soups, sandwiches, and three sizes of lobster rolls, including one that is nearly two feet long. Another restaurant under the same ownership--which will either be called Lobstah On a Roll or 478 Mass. Ave.--is supposed to be coming to Arlington as well, though those plans have been in the works for approximately a year and a half.
[February 15 update: According to a source, the upcoming Salem location of Lobstah On a Roll will open at 135 Lafayette Street, which is the former Jimmy John's space.]
[March 13 update: A message from the place indicates that Lobstah On a Roll hopes to open in Salem in the next couple of weeks.]
[April 3 update: Eater Boston states that Lobstah On a Roll is now open in Salem.]
