Coolgreens to Open in Quincy and Waltham

by Marc Hurwitz

An Oklahoma-based chain of dining spots known for their healthy options will be expanding to the Greater Boston area, opening at least two outlets in the region.

According to an article in Wicked Local/The Patriot Ledger, Coolgreens is planning to open locations in Quincy and Waltham, while franchiser (and Weston native) Demy Martin is also looking to open a third somewhere in the region as well. Based on the other locations in Oklahoma, expect to see such items as soups, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, quinoa bowls, and more at the new dining spots.

The Quincy location will be located in the downtown area at 1250 Hancock Street, though it is not yet known where the Waltham location will be.

Coolgreens was founded in 2009 in Oklahoma City and now has a total of seven locations in Oklahoma, with two new outlets coming to Texas as well. The website for the chain can be found at https://www.coolgreens.com/

[April 23 update: QRS states that the two Coolgreens locations coming to Quincy and Waltham both plan to open late this summer.]

[August 14 update: A source tells us that the Waltham location of Coolgreens will be at 75 Third Avenue, with this being confirmed by the website for the chain.]
