A new restaurant that describes itself in a rather unusual manner has come to downtown Boston.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Vaanga is now open on Water Street, moving into the space that had been home to a location of Curry House. The logo for the new eatery says that it is a "Crazy Indian Joint" while the "about" section of its Facebook page says it is "The most unauthentic Indian fare in Downtown Boston serving the kickass styles of Indian food." The website for the restaurant is not up and running as of yet, but its Facebook page mentions such items as samosa burgers and dosas along with "DESI Tacos and BAERITTOS." (As soon as we see a full menu, we'll post an update here.)
Curry House first opened on Water Street in the summer of 2017, taking over the space where Beantown Hoagie had once been; the original location of Curry House remains in operation on Beacon Street in Brookline's Coolidge Corner.
The address for Vaanga is 102 Water Street, Boston, MA, 02109. Its Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/BostonVaanga/
