A basement-level Harvard Square restaurant known for its Asian street food has closed for good.
According to an article in Boston Magazine, Night Market on Winthrop Street is no longer in operation, having shuttered at the end of business hours last night. An Instagram post from the place says that "We're saddened to be closing our doors....We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who has been a part of our story - our restaurant staff, our occasional visitors, and all of our wonderful regulars over the years. THANK YOU ALL" No specific reason seems to be given for the closure of Night Market, nor is it known what might go into the space, so keep checking back for updates.
Night Market first opened in late 2014 in the former Tamarind Bay space, offering a variety of Asian dishes along with such drink options as sake cocktails and sake slushies.
The address for the now-closed Night Market was 75 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138.
