A Portuguese restaurant in Cambridge that was destroyed in a fire earlier this year could be returning to the space.
According to a license commission hearing agenda page within the city's website, the Sunset Cafe plans to reopen once its building at the corner of Cambridge Street and Hunting Street is rebuilt. The building in which the restaurant resided was hit by a major fire on January 14 and it was subsequently torn down due to the extent of the damage to the structure. It is not yet known when construction could be completed, so keep checking back for updates as they come in.
The four-alarm blaze also displaced nearly 20 people and took out a second structure as well.
