[Ed note: This article was updated on May 24 to reflect the fact that the restaurant has opened back up.]
A longtime restaurant in North Cambridge for sushi and other Japanese dishes is open once again after being shut down for an unspecified reason.
According to a couple of sources, Hana Sushi on Mass. Ave. was locked up and dark on Wednesday and Thursday, with a sign in the window saying that it was closed on May 22 by order of the board of license commissioners. One source says that a hand-scrawled "closed" sign was also shown out front, with no other information given. On Friday, however, the restaurant had reopened according to one of the sources, with no indication as to what had happened to have it close in the first place.
According to a source, Hana Sushi has been open for at least 30 years; the restaurant is known for such items as sushi, tempura, teriyaki, katsu, Korean dishes, and more.
The address for Hana Sushi is 2372 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02140.
