Natick Fire Destroys Several Businesses; Blaze May Have Started at King Wok

A massive fire hit a downtown area in the western suburbs earlier this morning, and it looks like it may have begun in a Chinese restaurant.

According to several sources, including CBS Boston, a report of a fire in Natick Center was called in around 1:20 AM, with firefighters discovering a heavy fire in the basement of King Wok on South Main Street. The multi-alarm blaze spread to a number of other storefronts, with eight businesses apparently being destroyed, including King Wok. CBS Boston says that one firefighter sustained minor injuries while battling the fire, and that the blaze does not appear to be suspicious at this point in time.

The Patch indicates that the structure housing King Wok and other businesses destroyed in the fire is expected to be "taken apart" once the blaze is completely out.
